Kazan University is one of the leaders among Russian universities in media activity, and the KFU channel in Zen was recognized as the best in the country based on the results of its work in May.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has published the results of the M-Rate rating of media activity of subordinate universities. According to the results of May 2023, Kazan Federal University rose to the fourth position, the total rating of the university was 30.914 units.
M-Rate is the official rating of Russian universities. It takes into account the effectiveness of universities in the media space in three main areas of work: with the media; with their own audience in groups and channels in all major social networks; with their own websites. When compiling the rating, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia evaluates the media activity of over 230 universities in the country. In general, in May, the number of likes increased by more than 120 thousand, and the number of publications in the media — more than 170 thousand.
According to the results of the consolidated May rating, Kazan Federal University has risen by two positions and is in fourth place.
The Mass-Media index of KFU was 24,819 – this is the sixth result in the country. The indicator of the effectiveness of the university's work with the media takes into account the number of publications about the university and its employees in the media, the audience of these sources, the number of published stories on TV channels, as well as the number of exclusive news about the university or its projects posted on the resources of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
The performance index of Kazan University in social networks is 35.717 units (sixth position). This indicator takes into account the presence of university accounts and work in social networks. If you look at the breakdown of the rating of media activity in social networks, then in Zen, KFU soared by eight positions at once and took first place (53,816).
As for the performance indicator of the university with the website, here the CFU indicator is 28.048 (fourth place) – the growth was four positions up. It takes into account the volume of the site's audience, the time that users spend on the site, the number of visits, as well as the bounce rate.
