From May 30 to June 19, 2023, a thematic shift "#More Bright" was held at the Orlyonok VDC. Her program was aimed at career guidance of school students aged 12-16 years in the field of energy, ecology and energy efficiency. This educational event is included in the All-Russian Plan of youth events aimed at popularizing the fuel and energy complex, energy conservation and engineering education for 2023.
100 participants from more than 30 regions of Russia, who passed the preliminary competitive selection, came to replace the VDC "Orlyonok". All of them are fond of physics, mathematics, are engaged in the development of projects in the branches of the fuel and energy complex. Within the framework of the program, participants attended lectures and master classes of specialized specialists of energy companies, conducted experiments, performed experiments with various energy sources.
The main partners in carrying out the educational block of the shift "#More Bright" were industry partner companies: GC Rosatom, PJSC ROSSETI, PJSC RusHydro, JSC SO UES, FSUE Federal Environmental Operator and teachers of the NRU MEI.
From June 09 to June 11, 2023, the staff of the Department of Electromechanics, Electrical and Electronic Devices of our university conducted a cycle of classes for the participants, during which the guys studied the principles of layout of electronic devices, got acquainted with the main components of electrical circuits, learned the basics of working with solderless breadboards. Using the acquired knowledge, the students assembled several simple electronic circuits: a touch switch, a time relay, a relay with a delay for disconnection, which can be further used in the creation of simple automation systems, including how to manage a smart home. At the end of the cycle, all schoolchildren, united in teams, made their own models of wind power plants for the power supply of individual consumers.
The most active participants were invited to the All-Russian engineering shift "School of Young Power Engineering" at the VDC "Smena", as well as to other competitive and popular science events organized by the NRU "MEI".
